According to a survey released on Monday, 13 June 2022, China has surpassed the United States as the foreign power with the greatest positive influence in Africa.

76 percent of 4,507 young Africans from 15 countries named China as a foreign power that has positively impacted their lives, compared to 72 percent for the United States. When the first study of 18-to-24-year-olds was conducted in 2020, 83 percent of respondents saw the 

US’s influence as positive, while 79 percent saw China’s influence as positive.
